# Atomics Protocol

ATOMICS exists to make peer-to-peer trading safe, fair, and accessible wherever people already trade.
In reality, many meaningful trades do not happen on exchanges or automated markets. They happen through communities such as private chats, OTC groups, and real-world meetups. Here people negotiate directly, trade illiquid assets, and rely on trust and reputation.
By combining trustless settlement with community-driven coordination, ATOMICS turns informal markets into reliable ones without removing their character.
